We made a Spotify playlist with a bunch of our favourite summery songs. Not all of them are dance-y, but all of them will (hopefully) make you think of sunshine and summer fun times <3

Hello! Sorry we haven’t been so great at updating the blog. We will try better for next time but here’s a tiny little update for now :)

A big belated thank you to everyone who came out to our Where It’s At Is Where You Are 7 dj’s special. It was great to see so many people there! Thank you to John Jervis, The Losers Club (Colm, Helen and Pierre), Elliot, Jacko and Andre. They were all brilliant and had everyone dancing all night <3 We’ll have their sets up soon.

Extra props to the people who did some very fine Morrissey-style dancing/flailing with REAL LIFE ROSES. That was pretty awesome. Maybe we should have some gladioli for next time.

P.S. We are REALLY sorry to people who got turned away because of the ID stuff :( It’s “strictly over 18s” and you need id if you look young - we didn’t realize either we’re sorry for not warning people! We know a few of you got turned away but hopefully there weren’t too many more. 

We had a great time dj-ing at How Does It Feel To Be Loved? back in March. Thanks to Ian for asking!

We played a bunch of stuff including Gospel Music, Go Sailor, The Just Joans, The Andersen Tapes, Ash, Jens Lekman, Bratmobile, The Siddeleys, Girlfriendo, Free Loan Investments, The Shermans, Acid House Kings, ballboy, Kenickie, Helen Love, Another Sunny Day, Allo Darlin’, The Gentle Waves, The Essex Green, Camera Obscura, The Field Mice, The Hidden Cameras, Heavenly…you get the idea :) We are bad at writing stuff down so don’t remember it all but it was a super fun night!

Next club night - March 31st! 7 guest djs as part of the WIAIWYA singles club celebrations!

We’ve got our first club night of 2012 on March 31st and it’s happening at our TOTALLY AMAZING new venue, Drink, Shop & Do in King’s Cross. It’s pretty much our utopia since it combines tea, cake and cuteness upstairs, and now indiepop and dancing and drinking downstairs! We are in love! And we can play our music as loud as we want!

And to add even more to this excitement, we’ve got a whole SEVEN extremely lovely guest djs as part of the Where It’s At Is Where You Are 7777777 singles club celebrations! There will even be special balloons and everything! And sweets and all the rest, as usual. So come out and get your tea and cake upstairs and a drink and dance downstairs! We offer no apologies for how giddy we’re gonna be on the night. In fact, we’re already giddy just thinking about it.

London Popfest

London Popfest kicks off tomorrow night with 4 days of great bands/films/discos/pop quiz/fun/happiness! There are still a few tickets available if you fancy it! 

We’ll be playing records between bands on the Saturday alldayer and Ian Watson will be doing his amazing c86 disco after the bands. Friday’s also got Brighton’s Another Sunny Day indiepop disco which we are very much looking forward to. See you there!

we are super mega excited about the venue for our march night! it’s at drink, shop & do in king’s x. it’s one of our most favourite places in london, with pretty much all the things we love in one place.

tea, cake and cocktails upstairs. indiepop and dancing (and more drinking!) downstairs. it’s our idea of utopia. we can’t wait! x

BAD NEWS: due to the venue having last minute sound/council problems upstairs, we’ve had to CANCEL this saturday. we’re really sorry and especially sorry for the last minute notice. we only just found out as well and are also disappointed.

***please spread the word so nobody turns up only to find there is no club night on! we will feel terrible if that happens.***

Hello! We have been super busy with Life Stuff like finishing up dissertations, moving house, new jobs etc. so there was no club night in October. We’ll be back before the end of the year though, we’re just deciding on dates. 

In the meantime, Sean has asked us to dj at the Lexington for the aftershow of the first night of the Fortuna Pop! 15th Birthday gigs! EXCITING!
